New this year is the René Bentz winery. The winery is surrounded by a harmonious vineyard landscape and is located in Wellenstein. The modern building impresses with its elegant minimalist architecture, which rests in the middle of the vineyard. Two generations work in the winery: René Bentz, who learned his wine-making skills in France, and his son Nicolas. The family business produces wines as well as Crémant, such as Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, or Riesling. Father and son also cultivate grape varieties such as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Sylvaner, Chardonnay and Saint-Laurent. These can be tasted in a room with floor-to-ceiling windows or on the covered terrace. Both locations offer a breathtaking view of the vines along the Moselle. This small family business is taking part in our WLE event for the first time this year and will enrich us with great wines as well as Crémant.
